“Reigi”, premier album de SLOWGLIDE [ambient / Reims]

autoportrait (no french below)
Reims producer Slowglide’s first release, mini-album Reigi, is a seven tracks idealized portrait of Japan as mused by the artist in which numerous influences, such as Susumu Yokota, first compilations by Warp Records or even techno music from Detroit, meet and interact. At the crossroads between these different times and spaces, Slowglide develops a type of techno music both syncopated and textured, which blends together ambient music as well as traditional Japanese music; as a result, the sonorities are at the same time frenetic (‘Haipa’, ‘Reigi’, ‘Ikebana’) and contemplative (‘Midori’, ‘Otsuya’, ‘Hanami’), melodic, organic and technologic.
